Good Shepherd

What if we thought of Jesus as the Good Shepherd He claimed to be, like David putting his own life on the line to save a wondering sheep from a wild animal (once a bear, once a lion). Jesus laid His life down for the lost, the wondering, the prodigal, the wayward, even those that would reject Him. He saves us and leads us to a place of rest, a place of provision and protection, a place of freedom from fear and freedom to love and live.
